Native
These are the plants that are native to our area and once proliferated here in abundance. Native plants and trees can help with stormwater runoff and have long-term positive effects. Let’s encourage their growth in our woodlands and easements by giving them breathing space and not picking them.
Non-Native or Invasive
These plants are invasive. They crowd out the native plants and compete for soil nutrients and light. We all need to discourage their growth in our easements and common areas as well as our backyards.
